How to Fry Eggs Without Oil

Intorducing the egg hack we didn’t know we needed but now we’ll never cook our eggs the same way again. Simply swap your go-to olive oil for pesto, chili crisp, harissa—anything you have on hand with a little oil and lots of flavor.

What you’ll need:

1. Pesto and Parmesan
2. Chili Crisp and Scallions
3. Scallion-Ginger Oil and Sesame Seeds
4. Harissa and Feta

What to do:

Heat a small nonstick pan over medium heat. Depending on what you have on hand, add a dollop of your sauce to the pan.

Crack your egg(s) directly into the pan, on top of the sauce. Fry your eggs as normal, to your desired completeness. Just before you remove from the pan, top your eggs with other flavor, like Parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, or freshly chopped scallions.
