Cacio e Pepe Whipped Butter

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup pecorino or parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon flaky salt


  1. Add butter, cheese, black pepper, and salt to a large bowl and whip until smooth and airy, 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer to a small bowl and serve.
