5 Fruits We Love on Pizza

Whether you’re team pineapple on pizza or not, we bet you actually do like fruit on pizza. To prove our point, we’re rounding up a handful of our favorite fruity combos to prep for your next pizza night. (They are called pizza pies, after all.)

Peach & Prosciutto

A sweet and salty match made in heaven, stone fruit and dried meat are perfect on pizza. Peaches take on a warm, charred flavor, while the heat of an oven brings out even more depth and caramelized notes in prosciutto.

Blackberry & Prosciutto

Similar to peaches, blackberries pair oh-so-sweetly with prosciutto. Their tart-and-sweet juices melt right in, creating a dish that runs the full gamut of flavor.

Pear & Gorgonzola

Another classic combo, pear and gorgonzola may be relatively mild on their own, but brought together with a salty mozzarella and a slightly sour pizza dough, they elevate a plain pie into a Italian delicacy.

Strawberries, Basil & Balsamic

Who said putting greens on pizza has to be boring? Fresh strawberries, basil, and balsamic vinegar pair beautifully on their own, and just get even more delicious on a bed of sauce, cheese, and crust.

Pineapple, Jalapeño & Pepperoni

Hear us out: Not only is pineapple delicious on pizza, it’s even better when you pair it with salty, fatty pepperoni and spicy frsh jalapeños.
