Bobby Flay’s Strawberry Milkshake and Fresh Whipped Cream

Simple, classic, delicious. This creamy, fresh strawberry milkshake couldn’t be tastier or easier to make. With the slight tang of in-season strawberries and the smoothness of high-quality vanilla ice cream, we give this recipe from chef-in-residence Bobby Flay a 10/10. And the best bit? You can swap the strawberries for any in-season fruit, and even swap out the ice cream, milk, and heavy cream for your fave non-dairy alternatives.

Bobby Flay’s Strawberry Milkshake and Fresh Whipped Cream

  • Author: Misfits Market
  • Yield: 2 1x

Whip up creamy, fresh milkshakes, the Bobby Flay way.

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, whole
  • 2 tablespoons cane sugar
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 pint premium vanilla ice cream
  • ½ cup heavy cream, cold
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Freeze dried strawberries, crushed

  1. For the milkshakes: Place strawberries in a small bowl, sprinkle with the sugar and toss to combine. Add the milk, sugared strawberries, and ice cream to a blender. Mix until smooth and pour into tall glasses.
  2. For the whipped cream (can be made in advance): In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla until soft peaks form. Spoon whipped cream onto the top of the shakes.
  3. Garnish with a handful of crushed, dried strawberries and serve.
