September leaned into two things: proteins worth planning dinner around, and a pantry glow-up nobody asked for but everybody needed. Here’s what’s new, and why it belongs in your cart.
Fall’s New Favorite Sips
Táche’s Pistachio Milk landed in two forms this month, an Unsweetened Original for anyone who wants a clean, nutty base, and a Pumpkin Spice Barista Blend that steams up like a coffee-shop drink without the coffee-shop line. Luna Bay’s Zero Spicy Margarita Tea Mocktail brings genuine bar-quality complexity, tea-based, a little heat, zero alcohol, to anyone building out a mocktail rotation. And Sap’s Lemon Lime Electrolyte Beverage is back in the mix for anyone who needs real hydration without the neon dye or the sugar crash.
Spreads Worth Talking About
The pantry got a serious upgrade this month. Soom’s Mediterranean Herb Tahini Squeeze turns a usually-stiff jar into a squeeze bottle you’ll actually reach for, on roasted vegetables, grain bowls, or straight off a spoon. Butter got two new contenders: Nature’s Yoke Sea Salted Butter and Zeal Creamery’s Unsalted Grass Fed Butter, both made the way butter used to be made, before “butter” started meaning a dozen additives. And Better than Butter’s 96% Coconut-Based Vegan Salted Spread gives plant-based bakers and toast enthusiasts a spread rich enough to make you forget it’s dairy-free.
Protein That Means Business
If you cook dinner more than you order it, this is the section for you. Farmer Focus joined us with two organic cuts, Chicken Tenders for the weeknight-easy crowd and Bone-In Skin-On Chicken Thighs for anyone who wants real flavor and doesn’t mind a little extra work. Durham Ranch’s Ground Venison brings a leaner, deeper-flavored alternative to ground beef for anyone ready to branch out. And Mission Driven Meat & Seafood landed with four marinated proteins that solve dinner before you’ve even opened the fridge: Birria-Seasoned Beef Chuck, Hatch Green Chile Marinated Chicken Thigh, Korean BBQ Marinade Chicken Breast, and Lemon Pepper Seasoned Diced Chicken Breast.
Breakfast Just Got a Glow-Up
Utopihen Farms’ Organic Brown Eggs, pasture-raised and large, are the kind of eggs that make you actually notice a difference when you crack one. Pair them with Nounos’ Wildflower Honey Greek Yogurt, a genuinely craveable spin on Greek yogurt that tastes more like dessert than a health food, and breakfast stops being an afterthought.
Sweet Tooth Territory
Sweet Craft Dolceria’s Vanilla Protein Pudding splits the difference between dessert and a recovery snack, thick, genuinely creamy, and not chalky the way most protein desserts are. And Siete’s Grain Free Churro Cinnamon Chips are back on shelves for anyone who needs a cinnamon-sugar fix that happens to be grain-free.
The Bottom Line
Grocery shopping usually asks you to pick one: sourced-with-integrity or affordable, small-batch or convenient, sustainable or delicious. This month’s lineup is our answer to why you shouldn’t have to choose. Come see what else is in the box.
