We’re proud to give incredible women-owned brands center stage as they shape the future of food. From creative condiments to snacks you’ll finish in one sitting, these founders are redefining what it means to build a brand with purpose.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re spotlighting the standouts we love 365 days of the year.
Bixby Chocolate
Founded by Kate McAleer in Rockland, Maine, this bean-to-bar chocolate is made with ethically sourced cocoa and a whole lot of heart. Bixby Chocolate is known for creating sweet treats that’s aren’t just delicious, but seriously fun. Kate’s mom, Donna, helped shape the company’s commitment to thoughtful sourcing and better-for-you ingredients, and today, two generations of women help run the business. It’s chocolate with roots, purpose, and real craft behind it, and the kind of sweets we’re proud to share.
AYOH!
Founded by cookbook author and condiment queen Molly Baz, AYOH! is here to fix bland food forever. Packed with texture, acidity, and real-deal flavor, these sauces turn sandwiches, burgers, fries—honestly everything—into something better.
Fishwife
Inspired by the vibrant conservas culture of Spain and Portugal, Fishwife set out to make premium, sustainably sourced, delicious tinned seafood a pantry staple in the U.S. The result? High-quality tins that feel just as at home on a dinner party spread as they do on your Tuesday toast. It’s seafood with personality and purpose.
Keya’s Snacks
Founded by Food Network Baking Champion Keya Wingfield, Keya’s Snacks brings incredible flavor to the chip aisle. Her Bombay Spice potato chips are made with a 29-spice masala blend inspired by the Indian flavors she grew up with. They’re layered, complex, and wildly snackable.
Cabi
Cabi was founded by friends Eri and Miki after moving from Japan to New York and missing the comforting flavors of home. Rooted in traditional fermentation techniques like koji, Cabi brings depth and umami to everyday cooking without the intimidation. From umami dashi soy sauce to sweet yuzu vinaigrette and upcycled Japanese spicy mayo, these are flavor shortcuts you’ll reach for again and again.
Floura
Created by Jeni Britton of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Floura turns upcycled fruit trimmings into flavor-packed bars with 13 grams of fiber in each. Cutting food waste while supporting gut health in a seriously delicious way is exactly the kind of innovation we love.
NOOISH
NOOISH was created to give Jewish comfort food a modern, everyday place in the kitchen. Their instant matzo ball soup delivers all the nostalgia and warmth of the classic, ready in minutes and made to fit into real life.
Jennie’s House
Inspired by Italian family meals and the unmistakable smell of fresh bread on the table, Jennie’s House honors generations of home cooking. Crafted to honor the founder’s great aunt, this focaccia mix delivers bakery-level results with almost no effort. Crisp edges, fluffy center, zero stress.
Realm Snacks
Realm Savory Veggie Crisps are made with orange and purple sweet potatoes, cassava and chia seeds, and cauliflower. No seed oils, no artificial nothin’. Just bold flavors like spicy chipotle and sweet mustard from a female-founded brand. Consider us officially obsessed.
Cheerie Lane
This female-led brand founded by cousins on a fifth-generation Iowa farm creates delicious all-in-one popcorn pods using heirloom non-GMO kernels, cacao butter, and simple ingredients you can pronounce. No measuring. No guesswork. Just fresh, flavorful popcorn every time. Plus, the packaging couldn’t be cuter.
Laurel’s
Laurel’s was born from one very relatable problem: loving coffee, but not loving how it loves you back. Founder Isabel was that college student and consultant running on lattes, grabbing whatever was convenient, even if it meant artificial ingredients, excess sugar, and a not-so-happy gut. Then she discovered A2 dairy: creamy, nutrient-rich milk that’s easier to digest. Laurel’s canned lattes are made for real life on the go, delivering coffee-shop flavor and indulgence without the stomach drama.
Odds & Ends by Misfits Market
And of course, there’s our very own Odds & Ends line, created by a women-led team right here at Misfits Market. From product development to flavor selection, Morgan and Maddy are the brains behind every jar, bottle, and bite. Their mission? Make pantry staples smarter, more affordable, and less wasteful.
This month, and every month, we’re proud to partner with women-owned and women-led brands bringing creativity, craft, and better choices to your weekly box.
